This is a preview of part of the new pattern design for the FLIS art & design textile collection, to be released in a couple of weeks.
I have not yet decided how to name the collection. The working title is “Modern Deco”, but I bet someone else could think of a better name?
These pictures show my fabric design “Type Tile Blue” on my friend Mascha’s chairs. I really like the way the fabric looks on them! She made a good choice, and I am not just saying that because it is my own design.

Eames Century Modern by House Industries. I think I fell in love with it. Yesterday I suggested it to a client to use for her business card, and she likes it too. I’ll probably buy it.
The typeface is inspired by the work of Charles and Ray Eames, House Industries presents it as the typeface the Eames never got to design.
What do you think? And do you have a favorite typeface?

Just got back from two and a half very inspiring weeks in Tuscany. In paradise there is no internet.
This is my new red customized racing bicycle! My boyfriend build it, I did the paintjob. (It looked sort of cool like it was, but it was damaged, so I had to paint it anyhow.)
Some things still need to be changed, like the wheels and cranks, and maybe the what is it called, the gear thingy, which has to be on the frame instead of the steer.
But first I need to learn how to ride it properly. I started yesterday, by riding from Amsterdam to Utrecht (39 km).
We are thinking of customizing more bicycles. What do you think? Should we?
