As promised a couple of days ago: the typophile birds. These ones live in Chestnut Hill, Boston Massachusetts, United States. They seem to like the red letters the best, as we have noticed them in several signs with red letters. But that is probably because most signs are red.
Have you seen nests like these anywhere else?
Just finished 13 iPhone application icons (© FLIS art & design/Michel Boezerooij) for a client. I liked this job a lot, so if you need any icons (not just food), please let me know.
If you are interested to see the application: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=370408467&mt=8&affId=1380330 (iTunes alert, just cancel the request to start or download iTunes).
New 100 dollar bill.
Is this for real?! Erik Spiekermann (http://twitter.com/espiekermann) just tweeted about the new 100 dollar bill. I Googled and found this official gouvernment site: http://www.newmoney.gov/currency/100.htm
Guess it must be true then. A true insult to all Americans in general and graphic designers especially.
Unless it’s a belated April Fools joke?
Remember the old dutch money?

If they had just taken inspiration from those designs… I miss those bills! First there were the beautiful banknotes designed by Oxenaar, which were later replaced by the designs of Jaap Drupsteen. Could have been good inspiration for the United States?
